1 - What in the world is Codespill?
Codespill is a Roblox game where you build, but with coding. In LUA? No. Codespill uses our own programming language, called... "CE+"! (Yes, I made my own programming language with a programming language, how original) It doesn't matter if you know how to code or not. Either way, CE+ is really easy to use and who knows, maybe you can get really good at building with it! It pretty much has everything you need to build, but if it doesn't have what you need, you can join our discord server and explain to detail what you want in the game in the #suggestions channel! (-LINK UNAVAILABLE-). Every project you make with Codespill will be saved, and if you want to save it as an rbxm file, shoot any mod a DM with your roblox username, and they'll provide you the rbxm (roblox model) file for your project so you can use it in any game you want! Codespill is client-side, which means nobody can edit or ruin the things you build in the game. It also has non-collidable players, meaning no one can fling you or whatever. If someone is annoying you, you can turn on "Hide Players" in settings, or you can make a private server. You can also give access to people, so they can see what you build, and you can also change their permission, so they can either edit what you're building, or just look around
1.1 So... how to use it? (Parts)
Let's start with the basics, parts. To make a part, you put this:
Then, you can set the reflectance, color, material, etc.
Here's the full list of colors: red, orange, yellow, darkyellow, skygreen, green, darkgreen, skyblue, blue, darkblue, pink, magenta, darkpink, lavender, purple, darkpurple, skygray, gray, darkgray, brown, white, and black.
You can also set the color of the part as RGB, and change the color change speed, like this:
To set the size of the part, you can do this:
The MOST important thing when making a part is setting the name. (It supports both formats, p.name = "hey" and p.name = hey). This is because if you try to find the part to edit it, the part is called "Part" by default, meaning if you have a lot of parts called "Part", this won't help. Speaking about "find", let me show you how to use it!
"find" is used to find models, scripts, and parts in what you build. For example, let's say I have a part called "Hello", I don't like how it looks, so I wanna edit it. In that case, we can do:
But if you don't like how a part looks and want to remove it instead, go ahead! You can easily remove a part using "find" and the "remove" function!
More things will be added for parts, but for now this is all you can do!
1.2 - Models
Models are basically a lot of parts turned into one. To make a model, it's important to set a name to every part you want to turn into a model.
